Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

MOIL(up 1.33%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.15%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.92%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.57%) and Coal India(up 0.24%) stood among the top gainers.
Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.88%), KIOCL(down 1.68%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.11%), Pokarna(down 0.51%) and Lexus Granito(down 0.13%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 42.95 points down at 19751.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 125.65 points at 66282.74.
Tata Motors Ltd.(up 4.73%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.76%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.62%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.35%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.07%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.38%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.31%), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.85%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.79%) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.71%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.39%), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.34%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.06%), State Bank of India(down 1.68%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.45%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.26%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.15%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.06%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.95%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.9%) closed in the red.
