Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

Lexus Granito(up 2.11%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.43%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.54%) and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores(up 0.41%) stood among the top gainers.
KIOCL(down 8.47%), MOIL(down 5.74%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 4.26%), Aro Granite Industries(down 3.52%), Pokarna(down 2.78%), NMDC Ltd(down 2.15%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.84%) and Coal India(down 0.14%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 140.4 points down at 19671.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 551.07 points at 65877.02.
