Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls

Pokarna(up 11.22%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.48%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.85%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.78%), Lexus Granito(up 0.69%), 20 Microns(up 0.65%) and MOIL(up 0.21%) were among the top gainers.
Ashapura Minechem(down 2.59%), KIOCL(down 1.93%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores(down 0.36%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.31%) and Coal India(down 0.28%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 98.2 points down at 19566.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 354.79 points at 65590.68 at around 10:24AM.

Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.5%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.15%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.96%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.6%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.54%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.34%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.21%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 0.18%) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.16%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.39%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.28%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.28%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.26%), UPL Ltd.(down 1.16%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.15%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.13%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.92%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.9%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.89%) were trading in the red.
