Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

Ashapura Minechem(up 4.99%), MOIL(up 3.53%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 2.29%), Oriental Trimex(up 2.14%), KIOCL(up 1.67%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 0.81%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.50%), Lexus Granito(up 0.42%) and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores(up 0.40%) were among the top gainers.
Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.54%), Pokarna(down 1.45%), Coal India(down 1.01%) and Aro Granite Industries(down 0.24%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 143.95 points up at 19833.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 492.97 points at 66572.33 at around 10:39AM.
Wipro Ltd.(up 3.82%), Dr.

Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.74%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.61%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.53%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.5%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.46%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.34%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.3%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.27%) and NTPC Ltd.(up 1.25%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 1.0%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.51%) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.19%) were trading in the red.
