Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.07% in a weak market
Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 1.62 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 0.66 per cent), Bosch(up 0.41 per cent), TIINDIA(up 0.35 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers. Samvardhana Motherson International(down 0.88 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 0.77 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.68 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 0.39 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp(down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.07 per cent at 15435.95 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 63.3 points at 19401.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 201.16 points at 65338.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
