Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.44% in an upbeat market
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.82 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.74 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.44 per cent at 578.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40.55 points at 19569.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 108.09 points at 65736.23.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Indian Railway Fin, YES Bank, MMTC, JP Power and Rail Vikas Nigam were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Century Extrus, MMTC, Raymond, Pritika Engineering and Vinsys IT Services hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Sanco Industries, N K Industries, GNA Axles and Arvee Laboratories hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
