Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.03% in a weak market

Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(up 0.46 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.17 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.04 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) and Apollo Tyres Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.03 per cent at 26064.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.66 points at 25269.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 46.45 points at 82513.39.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, HFCL, Zomato, Jio Financial Services and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Matrimony.com, Tembo Global Ind, Coral India Finance, Gokul Agro Resources and Kingfa Science Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Globale Tessile, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Revathi Equipment, Tainwala Chem and Divgi Torqtransfer hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
