Stock market update: Nifty IT index 1.79%
Shares of Coforge Ltd.(up 11.77 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 10.64 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 3.92 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 2.79 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 2.61 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 1.79 per cent at 43351.75.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 50.0 points at 23205.35, while the BSE Sensex stood 115.39 points at 76520.38.
