Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 1.45%
Shares of TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 5.53 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 3.33 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 2.84 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.71 per cent) and Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Bosch Ltd.(down 5.51 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) and MRF Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 1.45 per cent up at 22586.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 205.85 points at 23163.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 631.55 points at 76532.96.
