Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.86% in a weak market
J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 6.23 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.86 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 3.18 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.65 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.86 per cent at 21665.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 170.61 points at 23389.35, while the BSE Sensex was down 555.33 points at 77304.86.
