Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.25% in a weak market
Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.8 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.25 per cent at 20435.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 217.36 points at 22578.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 721.14 points at 74589.92.
