Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.32% in a weak market
Apollo Tyres Ltd.(up 2.66 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.32 per cent at 23374.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 33.05 points at 23570.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 106.81 points at 77951.35.
