Infosys(up 1.54 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 1.17 per cent), HCL Technologies(up 0.99 per cent), Wipro(up 0.82 per cent) and Persistent Systems(up 0.69 per cent) were among the top gainers. MPhasis(down 0.53 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.7 per cent at 31247.3 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 41.9 points at 19392.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 82.4 points at 65319.52.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red. Shares of SBFC Finance, Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power and IOB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
