Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.03% in an upbeat market
Wipro Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.15 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.14 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.12 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.03 per cent at 32555.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.55 points at 19812.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 31.81 points at 66055.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
