Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.56%

Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent) and Sanofi India Ltd.(up 0.15 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 3.07 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.9 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent) and Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.2 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.56 per cent down at 15011.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 181.5 points at 19435.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 555.75 points at 65387.16.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Suzlon Energy and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Integrated Personnel, Pokarna Ltd, Rossell India, Railtel Corp and HLV Ltd.

hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GNA Axles, Penta Gold, Sanco Industries, FutureLifestyleFash and Orient Bell hit their fresh 52-week lows.
