Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.08% in a weak market

Sanofi India Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Lupin Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.08 per cent at 19193.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 29.96 points at 22432.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 104.76 points at 73909.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Aditya Birla Retail, BEL and South Indian Bnk were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Meghmani Finechem, Nila Spaces L, Lokesh Machines, HG Infra Engg and Career Point hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Lakshmi Precis, Euro India Fresh, 3rd Rock MultiMedia, Norben Tea Exp and Mask Investments hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
