Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.04% in an upbeat market
Sobha Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.79 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 0.46 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 0.32 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 0.04 per cent at 1099.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 93.16 points at 24137.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 284.14 points at 79527.32.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, PNB, YES Bank, Indus Towers and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Chola Fin Holdings, Bombay Burmah, Kalyani Invst, Summit Sec and Solara Active Pharma(PP)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akme Fintrade(India, Future Supply Chain, SecUR Credentials, Keerti Knowledge and Suumaya Lifestyle hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
