Stock market update: Power stocks down as market rises

ADANIGREEN(up 4.15%), Inox wind(up 3.37%), NLC India(up 3.05%), Inox Wind Energy(up 2.53%), PTC India(up 2.32%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.25%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 1.97%), DPSC(up 1.38%), Energy Development Company(up 1.20%) and Kalpataru Projects International(up 0.96%) were among the top gainers. Orient Green Power Company(down 6.58%), Reliance Power(down 2.68%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.06%), Alstom T&D India(down 1.92%), Indowind Energy(down 1.49%), Adani Transmissions(down 1.48%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 1.40%), KEC International(down 1.06%), KPI Green Energy(down 0.77%) and Torrent Power(down 0.74%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 8.1 points up at 19605.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 23.13 points at 65976.61 at around 10:34AM. Hero MotoCorp(up 3.99%), Cipla(up 2.48%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.42%), Wipro(up 1.01%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.99%), State Bank of India(up 0.88%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.63%), Axis Bank(up 0.58%), Tata Motors(up 0.57%) and LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.57%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
