Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises
Jyoti Structures(up 4.98%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.76%), Suzlon Energy(up 4.46%), Inox Wind Energy(up 4.10%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 3.63%), Reliance Power(up 3.60%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 3.45%), RTNPOWER(up 3.06%), Orient Green Power Company(up 2.68%) and GE Power India Limited(up 2.38%) were among the top gainers. Indowind Energy(down 1.85%), KEC International(down 0.86%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.66%), Torrent Power(down 0.47%), Kalpataru Projects International(down 0.37%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.24%), Hitachi Energy India(down 0.24%), Inox wind(down 0.23%), Karma Energy(down 0.22%) and NHPC(down 0.20%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 81.7 points up at 19463.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 265.45 points at 65506.13 at around 10:34AM. Cipla(up 4.1%), Wipro(up 2.29%), HCL Technologies(up 1.91%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.72%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 1.62%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.51%), Infosys(up 1.08%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.01%), SBI Life(up 0.97%) and Titan Company Ltd(up 0.84%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
