Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market rises
BAJAJHIND(up 3.65%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 1.78%), Mawana Sugars(up 1.22%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(up 0.50%), Rana Sugars(up 0.42%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 0.22%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 0.11%) and AVADHSUGAR(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers. KCP Sugar & Industries(down 2.48%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 1.91%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 1.25%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 1.24%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 0.86%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 0.66%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 0.55%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 0.51%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 0.48%) and Shree Renuka Sugars(down 0.42%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 6.9 points up at 19604.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 24.32 points at 65977.8 at around 10:39AM. Hero MotoCorp(up 4.14%), Cipla(up 2.51%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.36%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.16%), State Bank of India(up 1.02%), Axis Bank(up 1.0%), Wipro(up 0.95%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.61%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.59%) and LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.51%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
