Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(down 4.27%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(down 3.45%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd.(down 3.43%), EID Parry(India)Ltd.(down 3.37%), Rana Sugars Ltd.(down 3.34%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(down 3.07%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(down 2.62%), Mawana Sugars Ltd.(down 2.62%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.55%) and KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 2.29%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 4.75 points up at 24143.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 149.85 points at 79105.88.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.35%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.11%), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.44%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.4%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.05%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.01%), Wipro Ltd.(up 0.95%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.85%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.83%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.81%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 4.11%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.3%), Coal India Ltd.(down 3.27%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.39%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.31%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.13%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.94%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.83%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.69%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.45%) closed in the red.
