The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday released a bulletin regarding the weather forecast for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area. The weather office has warned of heavy rainfall with thunderstorm for Tamil Nadu for the next few days. Heavy rains have been lashing Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu for the past two days, disrupting daily life.
