Sivakarthikeyan recently brought his signature wit when discussing about social media. Speaking about his limited use of platforms these platforms, he jokingly suggested that getting his X (formerly Twitter) account blocked by Elon Musk would be a personal victory.
“In the last two years, I’ve been using social media very less. If you want to use it, use the internet. This is my kind advice, but don’t use much of social media, especially Twitter. Maybe, I think Elon Musk might block my account—that will be the first success I think for me,” Sivakarthikeyan quipped during his conversation at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, according to IANS.
Speaking to actor-politician Khushbu Sundar at IFFI, the actor opened up about his early struggles, highlighting how the loss of his father during college profoundly affected him. Sivakarthikeyan shared how he found solace on stage, saying, «I was depressed. I didn’t know what to do. To escape from that sadness, I got onto the stage. The claps and appreciation were my therapy.»
It was during his engineering days that his friends encouraged him to perform on stage, marking the beginning of his career in entertainment. «My first stage was in my college. My friends pushed me and said, ‘Do whatever you feel like, the audience should enjoy.’ That was a turning point,» he recalled.
