The series presents an irreverent retelling of Dick Turpin's story. Set in the 18th century, Turpin is an unlikely but famous highway robber. His charm, showmanship, and hair contribute to his success. Turpin, along with his gang of rogues, navigates various escapades, including encounters with celebrity.
The first season featured British comics Ellie White, Dolly Wells, and Mark Heap. Apple TV+ stated that Season 2 will include a lineup of British comedy talent.
Noel Fielding, Richard Naylor, and Jon Brittain wrote the series. Big Talk Studios, known for 'The Outlaws,' produced it. Executive producers include Kenton Allen, Fielding, Victoria Grew, Anthony Wilcox, and Ben Palmer. Naylor and Brittain are co-executive producers. Palmer also directs the series.
