The first film, The Family Plan, starred Wahlberg as Dan Morgan, a suburban father and former government assassin. Now a car salesman, Morgan’s covert past is hidden from his family, including his wife (played by Monaghan) and children. When his former life catches up with him, Dan must take his family on the run to protect them.
The sequel takes the Morgans to Europe, where Dan plans a Christmas vacation. However, his past returns to threaten the family in unexpected ways, once again putting them in danger. Producers David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson are all returning, with John G. Scotti and Simon Cellan Jones joining as executive producers.
