TSPDCL) has announced scheduled maintenance work on the 132 KV Kandi-Peddapur feeder on Thursday, February 22. The maintenance will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and may impact the water supply in certain areas.
The Kandi-Peddapur feeder is an essential part of the Singuru project, responsible for providing drinking water to Hyderabad. As part of the maintenance initiative, residents in the vicinity should anticipate partial interruptions in water supply, with some areas experiencing complete disruption.
Areas affected by complete disruption include Sheikpet reserve, Borabanda reserve, Lingampa reserve, and on-line supply, in addition to Khanapur Gravity’s 1200 mm main line supply, as reported by The Siasat Daily.
Partial disturbances in water supply are expected in Bhoja Gutta, Banjara Hills, and reservist areas.
Residents are advised to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements during the maintenance period.
During the previous month, numerous parts of the city encountered water supply interruptions on two separate occasions. The initial disruption lasted for 24 hours on January 3, followed by another disruption of the same duration on January 20.
There was a disruption in the drinking water supply to certain parts of the city for 24 hours starting from 6 am on January 3. This interruption was due to junction works on the pipeline at Santosh Nagar within the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Phase-1 project.
