The controversy stems from a specific scene in which Allu Arjun’s character urinates in a swimming pool in the presence of a police officer. Mallanna has described the scene as “offensive” and disrespectful towards law enforcement, demanding strict action against the filmmakers.
This complaint follows a tragic incident during the film’s premiere at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre on December 4. A stampede broke out, resulting in the death of a woman and leaving her eight-year-old son critically injured. Authorities stated that despite the event being denied permission, Allu Arjun attended, leading to his arrest. The actor has since been released on bail.
The Telangana Police have now issued a fresh summons to Allu Arjun, instructing him to appear for questioning on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Meanwhile, the deceased woman’s husband, Bhaskar, has suggested that he might withdraw the case against the actor.
Further escalating the situation, protests erupted on Sunday outside Allu Arjun's residence.
