Jagran University in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, when a tiger was seen inside the campus. This made both students and staff members worried. The tiger was seen on the university's cameras.
The university is near Kaliasot Dam. A forest officer named Alok Pathak said that the camera footage showed that it was a female tiger named T-123. This tiger is often seen in the Kaliyasot area.
She was seen near the Vice Chancellor's office on a Saturday morning at 4:53. The DFO said that T-123 is a mother with four baby tigers. She is known to move around in the Kaliyasot area.
She jumped over the wall to enter the campus. To keep everyone safe, the university was closed. The roads leading to the university were also closed.
This kind of thing has happened before. Last year in October, two tigers went into the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) campus in Bhopal and killed cows. The university had to be closed for a whole week.
Earlier this year in January, a tiger appeared in front of a school bus in Narmadapuram village. The bus driver recorded a video of it. Inputs from IANS
