Gwalior, a married young woman consumed poison following a dispute with her lover, leading to her death during treatment in Gwalior. As per a ToI report, the 22-year-old married woman, Poonam, residing in Mohangarh village, consumed poison two days ago. It is revealed that she was previously married in Devera village but returned to her hometown after obtaining a divorce.
She had remarried a year ago in Samshabad, Uttar Pradesh, and returned to the village just ten days ago. The most startling aspect of the incident is that the woman had been in a love affair with a local youth for a long time. Upon her return to the village, they had a conversation during which she informed him about her plan to consume poison.
She even sent a picture of the poison vial on WhatsApp during a video call. Surprisingly, the youth replied with a simple «OK» to her revelation. Immediately after receiving the «OK» response, the woman consumed the poison.
Her family members rushed her to the hospital. Tragically, she couldn't survive during the treatment. Before her death, the woman made a statement accusing the youth of troubling her.
Following her demise, the police confirmed the cause of death as poisoning and launched a thorough investigation into the entire incident. Ramakant Upadhyay, the officer in charge of the police station, told ToI that the woman died in Gwalior after consuming the poisonous substance. The case is under active investigation to uncover all the facts.
