TPG Capital has brought in Genevieve Gregor as a special advisor across its portfolio after initially considering appointing the ex-Goldman Sachs banker to the board of InvoCare, which it acquired this month for $1.8 billion.

Gregor was at Goldman Sachs’ Asian Special Situations Group until 2017, and went on to co-found Colinton Capital Partners with ex-Carlyle Australia boss Simon Moore. She is also the chairwoman of Noumi.
There’s been plenty of growth at TPG this year. The private equity firm hired Antonia Zou from rival buyout group KKR in New York. She, too, previously worked at Goldman Sachs in Sydney and is now vice president in TPG’s financial services team. Other additions to the TPG team include Jasmine Cao, previously an investment associate at OMERS Infrastructure. She also had a stint at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets.
As for Gregor, she is among a long list of names suggested as possible candidates for the Future Fund board, which will have to find a number of new directors within the next six months.
