Uzumaki«Uzumaki,» based on Junji Ito's horror manga, encountered several delays in its journey to Toonami. Initially planned for a 2020 Toonami debut before its Japanese release, it was pushed to 2021, and then further delayed to October 2022, and once again in June 2022. The mini-series, consisting of four episodes, will eventually make its much-anticipated debut on Toonami. Directed by Hiroshi Nagahama and produced by Studio Drive and Studio Akatsuki, «Uzumaki» is a joint effort between Production I.G. USA and Adult Swim. The anime's music will be composed by Colin Stetson, adding to the immersive horror experience. The eerie narrative of «Uzumaki» revolves around a town plagued by bizarre and mysterious occurrences, all related to the ominous spiral shape. The manga originally comprised three volumes, released by Viz Media in 2007-2008, with an omnibus edition later published. This spine-chilling manga also inspired a live-action horror film in 2000.
