Republican candidate Donald Trump will be holding a rally in the Butler's Farm Show fairgrounds, where the first assassination attempt happened on him. The rally was scheduled for October 5. The preparation regarding this rally is likely to be similar to the rally that happened in July. Former US president Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that he is eager to return to Butler; even on his social media platform, Truth Social, he posted in late July that he was returning to Butler for a big and beautiful rally, as per the CBS News. The previous Trump rally was marred by gunfire on July 13, as per CBS News.

According to the reports, the gunman was pointing towards Trump from a rooftop, which is 400 feet away from the former president.
