United Spirits reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 485 crore for the first quarter ended June 2024. This is an increase of 2% from Rs 477 crore posted in the last year quarter.
Revenue from operations in the June quarter increased 7% year-on-year to Rs 6,238 crore, compared with Rs 5,808 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
Total expenses during the reporting period increased 8% year-on-year to Rs 5,619 crore. The same stood at Rs 5,173 crore in the last year quarter.
The profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter increased 2% year-on-year to Rs 653 crore in the April-June 2024 period as against Rs 639 crore posted in the corresponding period of previous year.
Segment wise, revenues from beverage alcohol increased 8% year-on-year to Rs 2,352 crore in the June quarter. It was Rs 2,172 crore in the last year quarter.
Meanwhile, revenues from the sports segment declined to Rs 413 crore in the reporting period, compared with Rs 498 crore in the last year quarter.
On Tuesday, United Spirits shares rose 2.03% at Rs 1,334.70 on NSE.
