Metropolis Healthcare on Saturday reported a 31.3% year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit to Rs 38.1 crore in Q1FY25 let my volume increase and better patient realisations.
The diagnostic chain reported Rs 29 crore net profit in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Revenue from operations grew by 13.1% YoY to Rs 313.4 crore.
The earnings for interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) before CSR and ESOP rose 20.2% YoY to Rs 80.5 crore in Q1. The EBITDA margin in Q1FY25 was 25%.
Growth in patient volumes and test volumes stood at 7% and 10%, respectively for the quarter. Revenue per patient increased by 6%.
«Our TruHealth (Wellness and Bundling) segment grew by 28% this quarter, which has helped us move the customers up the value chain, resulting in an increase in revenue per patient,» said Ameera Shah, executive chairperson and whole-time director, Metropolis Healthcare.
«We are confident that network expansion, increased footfalls, and a shift in test mix will continue to help us achieve our desired growth,» Shah added.
Metropolitan has a network of 204 labs, 4216 collection centres and over 10,000 touch points.
