Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday reported a 83% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit to Rs 305 crore in Q1FY25, led by growth across hospital, diagnostics, specialty and pharmacies businesses.
The company reported net profit of Rs 167 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Revenue grew 15% YoY to Rs.5,086 crore in Q1FY25.
The earning before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA), EBITDA rose 33% YoY to Rs.675 crore in Q1FY25.
The healthcare services business (hospital business) revenue grew 15% YoY to Rs 2,637 crore in Q1FY25. The EBITDA margins stood at 23.57%.The
overall occupancy for hospitals was at 68% vs 62% in the same period in the previous year, aided by a strong increase in patient flows across hospitals with inpatient (IP) volume increasing by 11% and outpatient (OP) new registrations by 13%.
Apollo Hospitals had 7,942 operating beds across the network.
Diagnostics and retail healthcare business grew 15% YoY to Rs.366 crore in Q1FY25.
Apollo HealthCo — the digital healthcare and omni-channel pharmacy platform grew 15% YoY to 2,082 crore in Q1FY25.
The Apollo Health Co losses narrowed to Rs 12.9 crore in Q1FY25 from Rs 82.6 crore in Q1FY24.
The gross merchandise value (GMV) of Apollo 24/7 at Rs. 695 crores.
