Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,437 crore for the first quarter ended June 2024, marking a 77% increase from Rs 814 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations during the same period increased 11% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 4,347 crore against Rs 3,915 crore in the corresponding period of last year.
EBITDA for the quarter increased 13% YoY to Rs 994 crore against Rs 880 crore in the last year quarter.
Meanwhile, EBITDA margins were up 39 bps to 22.9%. The same stood at 22.5% in the same period last year.
On a sequential basis, net profit after tax declined nearly 67% from Rs 4,308 crore reported in the preceding March quarter. Revenue from operations, meanwhile, fell 71% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
Total expenses for the first quarter rose 8% YoY to Rs 3,506 crore compared with Rs 3,240 crore in the same quarter last year.
