Uorfi Javed has received death threats over an X post by her that went viral, reports said on October 31.
The former Big Boss participant had posted a video of her donning a look inspired by Rajpal Yadav’s character in Bollywood movie 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'. In the said movie, Rajpal's character was called Chhote Pandit.
In the video, her face is painted red, she wore an orange dhoti and paired it with a sheer red top.
The video also shows a marigold garland around her neck.
Uorfi got threats after the video went viral. In X, she shared screenshots of mails that carried the said threats.
“I’m just shocked and appalled by this country mahn, I’m getting death threats in recreating a character from a movie where as that character didn’t get any backlash (sic)" Uorfi wrote while sharing the screenshots on X.
One of the mails was from one Nikhil Goswami, who purportedly threatened Uorfi to delete the video.
In case she did not delete the video, it won't take long for her to get killed, he wrote.
One Rupesh Kumar also mailed Uorfi, saying that she is defaming the Hindu religion. 'Live your life, I will shoot you at the intersection,' his mail read.
