DOGE takes control of USAID offices
According to reports, DOGE workers entered USAID headquarters and began overseeing operations. The move has resulted in a power shift, with long-serving officials being sidelined. Security personnel who attempted to prevent access to restricted areas were also removed.
A source cited by The Guardian stated, “DOGE representatives walked into USAID offices and immediately started making changes, causing tension within the agency.” This unexpected takeover has left many employees uncertain about their roles and the agency’s direction.
