Vedanta shares drop 0.06% as Sensex rises
Vedanta Ltd. traded 0.06 per cent lower in Thursday's session at 01:49PM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 234.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 234.85 and Rs 230.65, respectively, during the session so far.
The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 340.75 and a 52-week low of 207.85. About 211,853 shares changed hands on the counter so far.
Benchmark Nifty50 was up 17.1 points at 20113.7, while the BSE Sensex traded 3.06 points higher at 66904.97 at the time of writing of this report.
In the Nifty pack, 30 stocks traded the day in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Key Financials For the quarter ended 30-Sep-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 39585.0 crore, up 15.48 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 34279.0 crore and up 5.98 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net loss of Rs 1783.0 crore for the latest quarter.
Promoter Holdings Promoters held 63.71 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Sep-2023, while FIIs held 7.82 per cent and MFs 0.83 per cent.
Technicals On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 262.41 on November 30, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 228.48. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward.
