Anita Goyal, the wife of Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, passed away early Thursday morning, confirmed by a close family source. The 70-year-old had been battling cancer, reaching its third stage and undergoing treatment. Her health had been deteriorating over recent months, culminating in her passing at 3 am in a Mumbai hospital. Plans are underway to bring her mortal remains back home.
The news of Anita Goyal's demise has deeply saddened the Goyal family and those acquainted with them. Among the mourners is Vijay Mallya, formerly known as the ‘King of Good Times’ and a prominent figure in the aviation industry. Mallya expressed his condolences to Naresh Goyal through social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, “My heartfelt condolences to the Goyal family on the sad passing of Anita. She was a formidable competitor at Jet but a lovely human being.”
