The cricketer hit headlines after a report by Hopper HQ, a social media marketing platform reported that Kohli charged a whopping Rs 11.45 crore per Instagram post! The cricketer was also named the third highest-earning sportsperson on the Meta-owned app. The former captain of the Indian cricket team took to Twitter to clarify his Instagram revenues once and for all.
“While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true,” he wrote. The post went viral, attracting 1.8 million views and 68.4K likes. Netizens had a field day poking fun at the cricketer.

Earlier, StockGro, a Bengaluru-based trading company had claimed that Kohli had a networth of a whopping Rs 1050 crore. The report stated that the cricketer changed Rs 8 crore per Instagram post and Rs 2.5 crore per tweet. Kohli is currently one of the most followed sports people on Instagram, with about 253 million followers.
