The «With You» singer accused the docuseries' producers, Warner Bros. and Ample, of libel and purposeful infliction of emotional distress through defamatory claims against him, according to court documents Page Six obtained on Tuesday.
The Jane Doe lawsuit, which was allegedly previously dismissed because it was full of lies, is the basis on which Brown accused the producers of basing their series.
After spending years repairing his reputation, the hitmaker claimed that Warner Bros., Ample, and the unnamed female produced the documentary series with the intention of slandering him.
In 2009, Brown, then 35, entered a guilty plea to charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Despite his past mistakes, the «Superhero» singer has «grown from those experiences, and his evolution speaks for itself,» according to the lawsuit.
