Microsoft v/s Amazon: Who will win in 2025?
The fight between Microsoft and Amazon is as close as its gets this year. In 2024, Microsoft's Azure saw the higher revenue growth, it was Amazon's stock that outperformed in 2024, as per a Motley Fool report.
Since cloud computing could be one of the key driving factors of 2024, Amazon may be ahead in this aspect as it had created the cloud-computing industry back in 2006 when it launched Amazon Web Services. And now, this business aspect has ended up becoming Amazon's most profitable segment. If cloud computing continues its trend, then there's no stopping Amazon.
However, if the AI race is considered, Microsoft may just get the edge over Amazon in 2025, as it is reportedly ahead by a bit in this aspect. But, on the other hand, Amazon is profiting quite well from AI in its AWS segment through a number of services, including its Bedrock and SageMaker solutions, says a Motley Fool report.
Therefore, it cannot be ascertained who will finitely end up at the top by the end of 2025, but both companies have equal opportunities of toppling over the other.
