Why are US Marshals auctioning 'Omi in a Hellcat's' multimillion-dollar car collection?
YouTube sensation, "Omi in a Hellcat," is facing a dramatic downfall as the US Marshals prepare to auction off his extravagant car collection, including a Power-Rangers-themed Lamborghini. Bill Omar Carrasquillo, the man behind the YouTube handle, was sentenced to five and a half years in prison for engaging in a complex criminal scheme involving piracy of cable TV, access device fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and substantial copyright infringement.
The Verdict and the Lavish Collection
In March, Carrasquillo received a prison sentence and a $30 million forfeiture money judgment, coupled with a $15 million restitution order. The live auction, scheduled for October 13 at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, will showcase a variety of vehicles, including three other Lamborghinis, a Bentley, a Mercedes-Benz, four Jeeps, three Dodge Charger Hellcats, and several ATVs and motorcycles. The in-person sale is set to be an extravagant affair, but online bidding has already commenced.
Jewelry and Extravagance on the Block
