US President- elect Donald Trump has pretty recently appointed Adam Boehler as his special envoy for hostage affairs which is a role that comes amidst the ongoing tensions related to hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, reported The Teleraph.
According to the Telegraph, Adam Boehler, who has already and previously helped negotiate the Abraham Accords, has also being advocated for using US Special Forces to rescue hostages while suggesting that the US President Joe Biden administration's reluctance to use military force has put US citizen lives at huge risk. Currently, approximately 100 hostages are believed to be held by Hamas following the attacks on the month of October which resulted in numerous casualties.

The announcement of Donald Trump follows the tragic news of US citizen Omer Neutra's death during the Hamas attack while highlighting the urgency of the situation. The Telegraph asserted that the approach of Adam Boehler severely contrasts with diplomatic negotiations while he certainly put an emphasis on military action to ensure the safe return of hostages.
He has also severely criticized the Joe Biden administration for its inaction and indicated that US troops should collaborate with Israeli forces to secure the release of hostages.
