The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has pledged Rs 2,100 per month under the Mahila Samman Yojna. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has countered with the Mahila Samriddhi Yojna, promising Rs 2,500 per month, Rs 21,000 for pregnant women, and increased pensions for widows. The Congress has introduced the Pyaari Didi Yojana, also offering Rs 2,500 per month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that women will start receiving the BJP-promised Rs 2,500 by International Women's Day. Meanwhile, AAP has already begun distributing forms to women, assuring them of the scheme’s rollout.
In the previous Delhi Assembly elections, women voters largely backed AAP, benefiting from initiatives like free travel in DTC and cluster buses. However, BJP has been running a sustained campaign against AAP, alleging that its now-defunct liquor policy made alcohol more easily available, potentially alienating a section of women voters.
Women Voter Turnout in 2025 Elections
According to the Election Commission of India, Delhi saw a voter turnout of 60.54% in the 2025 polls, with 94,51,997 people casting their votes. Women outvoted men, with 60.92% female turnout compared to 60.21% male turnout. In
