₹10 lakh to micro enterprises engaged in the non-farm sector like manufacturing, trading and service sectors, including agriculture, poultry, dairy, etc. The Stand-Up India Scheme was launched in 2016 to promote entrepreneurship at the grassroot level, focusing on economic empowerment and job creation.
This scheme has been extended up to 2025. "Micro-credit through PMMY encouraged female entrepreneurship, raised earnings and employability, and thereby empowered them financially, socially and psychologically," the finance ministry statement said.
