What is the key takeaway from the G20 Summit?
The New Delhi G20 Summit has demonstrated India's emergence on the world stage as a nation that can provide leadership — leadership of vision; leadership that is sensitive, cares for the world and that can be trusted; leadership that can take along divergent viewpoints and can build consensus for the entire world.
It has demonstrated the trust the world has in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and in the people of India. India has emerged as a voice of the global south. If I were to describe this G20 in one single word, I would say «trust».
When every comma and full stop is fiercely negotiated in the declaration, to get it out with 100% consensus and that too on the first day, demonstrates the world's trust in India.
'Delhi Declaration has strengthened multilateralism'
It was a people's G20. Whenever India is celebrated in the world, its influence increases; then world trade and investment will turn towards the country that will boost the economy and generate employment in the country. The G20 showcased India's large potential in skills and digital space on the world stage.
