“The people of Delhi did not let lies win this time,” remarked Trisha and Sanidhi Verma, reflecting on their father’s triumph. They reiterated their confidence in the electorate’s decision, stating, “We thank the people of New Delhi for their support. The people of Delhi will never make the mistake of giving a second chance to a person who runs a government by telling lies. We knew that there would be a clear-cut victory; we were just waiting for the right time.”
Verma’s daughter, when asked whether her father would be the next CM, responded with poise, stating, “The party will decide who will be CM.” Her response was in stark contrast to similar scenarios in other states. Before winning elections in Haryana, Deepender Singh Hooda had claimed, «My father will become CM.» Before the Maharashtra elections, Aaditya Thackeray similarly stated, «My father will be CM.» However, after BJP's victory in Delhi, Verma’s daughter kept her response measured, emphasising the party’s decision-making process.
