Plot
The movie focuses on Jim, played by Will Ferrell, and Margo, played by Reese Witherspoon. Their families are booked for the same wedding date, June 1, at a remote Carolina coast island resort. This situation causes tension as both characters attempt to secure the venue for their respective family weddings.

The resort’s double booking is caused by a wedding planner with social anxiety, portrayed by Keyla Monterroso.
